Pakistani young talent Hassan Nawaz made his T20 debut against New Zealand on 16 March 2025 at Hagley Oval. Nawaz starts with a duck on his debut game and followed by another in the second game. Hassan Nawaz given another chance to prove his skills and he avail the chance and hit a convincing 105 runs.
Pakistan decided to bat first after winning the toss at Eden Park. New Zealand opening was not so good as Shaheen Afridi get Finn Allen for a duck in his very first over. Mark Chapman and Tim siefert build a quick fire 40 runs partnership in 3 overs.
Tim siefert dismissed by Haris Rauf soon after Finn Allen inside the power play. New Zealand batters lose wickets from one end but Mark Chapman keep hitting from other end. Chapman hit 94 in just 44 balls with 4 sixes and 11 fours before he got dismissed by Shaheen Afridi on 12.5 over.
