England have won the 4th T20 from India by 9 wickets and 37 balls to left in their innings. England continued their commanding run in the T20I series by defeating India with ease to take a 3-0 lead in the five-match contest. The hosts chased down 159 in just 13.5 overs, producing another outstanding all-round display in front of their home crowd.
The victory capped another one-sided encounter and underlined England’s dominance throughout the series.
After winning the toss India chose to bat first in an attempt to put runs on the board and avoid the pressure of another chase.
However, the plan failed to deliver the desired result.
England’s pace attack struck early once again. Jofra Archer and his fellow quicks targeted the short-ball strategy, forcing India’s top order into mistakes.
The visitors lost wickets at regular intervals and struggled to build partnerships.
Captain Shreyas Iyer was the lone bright spot. He played a composed and determined innings, remaining unbeaten on 80 from 49 deliveries. Despite his efforts, he received little support from the other end.
India eventually finished on 158, a total that looked below par on a batting-friendly surface.
England lost Jos Buttler early in the 4th T20 giving India a brief moment of hope.
That optimism quickly disappeared.
Captain Harry Brook launched a brilliant counterattack and completely shifted the momentum. He attacked both the pace bowlers and the spinners with confidence, finding boundaries all around the ground.
Brook remained unbeaten on a stunning 79 from just 35 balls and never allowed India to regain control.
Phil Salt also recovered after a cautious start. He settled into his innings before accelerating smoothly to another half-century.
The unbeaten partnership between Brook and Salt guided England to the target with more than six overs remaining.
India’s bowlers made a reasonable start but failed to maintain pressure.
Several overs proved extremely expensive, allowing England’s batters to dominate the scoring rate throughout the chase.
The fielding also lacked intensity. Missed opportunities and slow work in the field made life easier for the hosts, who never looked under pressure.
England’s aggressive approach exposed India’s inability to contain runs once the momentum shifted.

The hosts have now produced complete performances with both bat and ball, highlighting their depth and confidence in all departments.
Harry Brook’s leadership has also stood out, with England playing fearless and positive cricket from the opening match.
For India the tour has become increasingly difficult. Following the earlier series loss to Ireland another disappointing campaign has raised fresh concerns.
While Shreyas Iyer fought hard with the bat in this match the visitors once again struggled collectively and failed to match England’s intensity.
With matches still remaining India will look to restore some pride, while England will aim to finish the series on another high after a thoroughly dominant campaign.
