Khawaja Nafay, Hussain Talat and Aliss Islam cameo take the Kings to their first ever BPL final. BPL 2024-25 Starts from 30 December 2024 is going to end on 7th of February 2025. Today’s match confirms to tow finalist teams will battled for Title. Chittagong Kings reached to their first ever BPL final in 11 years of history.
Chittagong Kings lose their 1st Play-Off against Fortune Barishal as Barishal make their place in finals. Kings had another chance due to points lead in the group stage matches. 2nd Qualifier takes place on 5th February as Tigers beat Rangpur Riders in their 1st Play-Off. Chittagong win the 2nd Qualifier by 2 wickets, they will made their first appearance in BPL final on 7th Feb 2025.
This was a good competition as Chittagong winning the toss and chose to bowl first. Binura Fernando and Aliss Islam put some pressure while taking some early wickets. Khulna Tigers fail to put big score in their 1st six overs. Shimron Hetmyer and Mahidul Islam Ankon show some brilliant knock from middle order and lead the team to a fighting total of 163 for 6 in their 20 overs.
Aliss Islam bowled amazingly well taking 1 wicket in his 4 over spell only conceding 14 runs. Fernando bowled a maiden over in this BPL season.
While chasing a good total of 163 two brilliant knocks comes from overseas players from Pakistan. Khawaja Nafay (57) and Hussain Talat (40) lead the chase but they fell at crucial stage in two consecutive overs. Arafat Sunny and Aliss Islam hit the final runs. Aliss Islam hit the final ball four to end the dramatic chase.
Aliss Islam earn man of the match award for his brilliant All-round performance (17 runs 7 balls) and (1 wicket for 14 runs 4 overs).

Fortune Barishal is going to defend their title. Fortune is the team who not participated in 3 seasons of BPL from 2017-2020. After their comeback in 2022 they win their maiden BPL title in recent season of Bangladesh Premier League 224.
