India put a defendable total of 249 on board after their 50 overs. Matt Henry take a five wicket haul in 8 overs giving 42 runs. Kyle Jamieson, Will O’Rourke, Mitchell Santner and Rachin Ravindra all of them take 1 wicket each. India have no lose in their 3 group stage matches.
Hardik Pandya provided the first break-through in the 4th over taking Rachin Ravindra on 6 runs. Kane Williamson take the charge and played till 41st overs. He build partnerships with Will Young (22), Daryl Mitchell (17), Tom Latham (14), Glenn Philips (12) and Michael Bracewell (2). Williamson hit 81 runs on 120 balls with help of 7 fours.
As Williamson fell to Axar Patel at the end of 41st over New Zealand were 169/7. New Zealand’s Captain Mitchell Santren show some resistance at the the, he hit 28 runs on 31 deliveries with 2 sixes and 1 four. New Zealand’s tale enders crumbled soon after Williamson going back to pavilion. India wins the game by 44 runs.
